Subject: [CR]1970 PX10E f & f for sale or trade (slightly long)

Hi folks,

After much deliberation and hand-wringing - and a good sensible slap or two around the head, so to speak, by fellow-lister David Bilenkey when we got together the other night - I have decided to part with a very nice PX10E frameset which is much too big for me (and even too big for David for that matter).

This is serial #1679308 which places it firmly in 1970 and, according to Eric Elman, who has given me much advice (along with many other listers), is an unusual frame in that it shows some interesting transitional features between the older and later style of decals and head-badge and still has the rear tang on the non-drive side drop-out.

It is white with black Nervex Pro lugs - the usual chromed fork-ends and stay-ends. The chrome is in good condition as is the paint on the frame - there have been a few minor touch-ups in places - the paint on the forks suffers from the usual problem of the paint flaking off over the chrome in a couple of places. The decals and head-badge are in good shape - with the exception of the Reynolds 531 stickers which are badly worn on the seat-tube and the forks. The frame and fork appear to be straight and there are no dings or signs of rust. Seat-tube is a 58c-c as is the top-tube. Pictures available - just E-Mail me.

Here is the deal, I am looking for something comparable in a 54 or 55 c-c. I am keen to build up a late-60s or early 70s French bike and have assembled all the necessary parts for the above frame. I would like to find something of comparable quality and condition. If there is nothing out there, I am willing to sell the frame for $135 (US) + shipping. I may also then make the parts available for sale too! I am looking for a good project for the winter - which is very long here!!! ;^) Please contact me off list.

Thanks for your indulgence!!!
