Hi Jay, The spec page from my '75 Raleigh catalog says the rims are "Weinmann Narrow Section Alesa High Pressure Alloy" The term "high pressure" became applied to rims when 90 psi clinchers were developed, so I'd interpret this to mean that the rims and tires are clinchers. Besides, the picture sure looks like the bike has clinchers!
