Just a jingoistic semantics thing since nether country wants to admit that their threading is identical. It all has to do with the English not particularly liking what the Italians do to noodles and the Italians not caring for in the least what the English do to pasta.

I fondest hope is for the day when the two countries can agree to disagree and get on with building bikes. Here's to a better tomorrow!

If there is no difference between English and Italian, why won't my Italian b.b cups thread into my English threaded Zeus b.b. shell?
