Ah Ha !
On the close-up of the road-racer , I noted the rear derailleur with which I was not truly familiar .
I was made suspicious by the very plump tires , and the longer wheelbase ( both very generous fork rake , and the pump mounted behind the seat tube ) .
But of course , I didn't know if there might be other racers in the brochure with narrower tires and shorter wheelbases . And , I did NOT see that chain oiler !
So ! The wonderful art-stylings of the front cover do agree with the technical details of the bicycles within ! ( anyone else a fan of cartoonist John Held Jr. ? )
That little brochure is so fine , wish it were mine . . .
And did you see the frame design of the mixed tandem ??
Thanks Steven !
Thanks Hilary !
Thanks Oscar !

> The racing bike looks to have a Simplex Champion du Monde derailleur which
were first made pre-war. It also appears to have both the oiler and oiler
inlet tube on the seat tube which would both place it prewar. I would
therefore tend to exclude the 1950's, but would want to see more detail to
be absolutely sure.
