To which Roy answered:

He sent me a quote for a trike last year, but said that he wasn't interested in looking after the shipping to the US. He said that he would box it up but that I would need to look after shipping myself. I would also need to pay VAT in Britain and look after the VAT refund myself. Perhaps a way to get around the American product liability laws as stated by Phil Brown.
