Offering to list-members, the re-edition of Raymond Henry's famous "Du velocipede au derailleur moderne." It covers, on 160 pages, with many B&W and color photos, Rebour drawings, etc., the history of French derailleurs. It's a great companion to Frank Berto's "The Dancing Chain" (in which Raymond Henry wrote the chapter on French developments) - its many photos and details illuminate that part of the history. If you wonder what the first Cyclo derailleurs looked like, or who made the first vertical dropouts (not Jobst Brandt in the 1970s, but Cyclo in 1932), this is a great book. If you read French, only the better - otherwise, the photos and drawings are great, too.
Compared to the first edition from 1998, which has been long out of print, this one has been edited and revised. Softcover.
$ 49 plus $ 5 packing and shipping (U.S., more elsewhere).
If interested, please drop a note by Wednesday (so I can place the
order) and send a check. Book will be delivered in 6-8 weeks.
