If the rims have the words , "MAVIC MONTLERY MADE IN FRANCE" stamped into them , then look closely in the area around those stamped-in words .

As far as I know , the only dates stamped into those rims were , 1971 1972 1973 .

The numerals are like maybe about 3 mm in size .

Where are those tiny stamped numerals anyway? I've looked over a number of Mavic rims, but can't find them on mine. I have some "World Hour Records", "World Champions" and "Monthlery" all in French of course, but no numerals that I can see. By the way, I have successfully transfered intact red label Mavic foil stickers to rims that had damaged ones....tedious work!
