Subject: [CR]Members websites and collating the lists knowledge

CR members regularly provide information about bike-related photographs they've posted on various websites including Yahoo photopages and similar others. Sometimes I stumble across them in the body of a post to the list about another topic altogether.

Since we all like looking at photographs of old bikes (sad lot that we are), wouldn't it be possible for everyone with on-line bike pictures to post the web addresses so that we (Ha! That's you Dale!) can make a list of all the active sites? That way, those of us whose jobs involve periods of hyperactivity interspersed with boredom can kill time checking out all those old machines.

On a slightly tangential topic, wouldn't it also be possible for members to post details of the bikes in their collections and for this information to be held on a website somewhere as well? That would make it easier for new members or old members with new additions to their fleet, to get information from people who already have one of those bikes in their collections. Alternatively, what about setting up a list of CR "marque enthusiasts" in a similar fashion to the VCC?

There's a huge amount of knowledge and information on the list but sometimes finding it isn't always as easy as it might be. If Dale doesn't fancy it, can I volunteer Bob Reid? I'd be happy to stick all that kind of information on my Hobbs website but since Bob does all the work on that anyway, it would amount to the same thing...
