This frame has the serial number 6822, no holes in the lugs, so it would be an early-mid '60s bike? Close up photos show it to be a very clean and unmolested bike. The classic car world has "barn finds". I guess we have "attic finds". If the buyer already has the appropriate kit for this frame, it's not hard to envision the complete bike selling for over $2700, which is what the seller of this '72 Colnago Super turned down before ending the auction early to trade for a brand new McBike.

Does this constitute a new high for a neo classical (or should that be a classical modern) Cinelli? I had expected it to go for between $700-1000.
