I have run into the same problem. Maybe I have lost the skill I thought I had in the 70's. I find Bennoto to be much easier to install these days.

I bought white tape for the Monte and when wrapping it last night, noticed it wasn't nearly as easy to use as the stuff I remember buying in my youth. I *think* the tape I used to use was thicker and stretchier. Could that be?
