.....using your first and last name and your city and state. Not in the e-mail headers not in abbreviations or code, but right there at the bottom of your message, spelled out clear and straight up.....

Why? Because I want the CR list to be a real person-to-person exchange, not an anonymous forum. The reason I want you to get in the habit of using a complete sign-off each time, is that many folks do not read every post, or might get the digest form and possibly read messages out of their logical order... In any case, I want every member, new or old, foreign or American, to know who is writing and where they are from. It shouldn't be a puzzle or insider's joke to know who or where you are. We have many members who may not have English as their first language and I want them included, not excluded from understanding who is sending messages...
I understand that this list participation requirement is outside the norm of other Internet forums, list serves, etc., and so may need some "getting used to." But please understand, this is not a request but a requirement. I have spent too much time reminding folks here lately. Warning! Please adjust your habits so I do not have to give you the boot!
