Subject: [CR]Hugh Porter track frame

Hello all...

I submitted a posting a few months ago trying to find more information about the history and origin of my Hugh Porter track frame and fork. Any information that I have received so far has been helpful and I thank you all.

I am planning to restore this bike to it's original state. Since all that I have to go on is the frame and fork (and a steel "TA" headset), what I would like to know is what period correct components would a 1972 track bike have had on it then? (including bars/stem, rims, tires, etc).

Was the practice of tying and soldering spokes common then? Would the "TA" headset have been original?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!
