Another option: Ed Litton knows where there is a fixture to drill Campagnolo cranks to accept a third ring. You can go down to a 36 and it will still work with a Nuovo Record front derailleur. He will shortly be able to do this drilling for you (I might add, he did a LOT of them, "back then") If you need more chain take up on the rear, you can bolt on a pair of Rally cage plates. A T.A. crank will let you use a smaller inner chainring, but you will need to find a different front derailleur.
