Tucson is still small enough to have that down home feeling. I just parked my truck on a side street and dropped the tailgate. Didn't have to buy tickets to get in. Big Brother wasn't watching. There were old fashioned good deals to be made and if prices were "California style" then the stuff just didn't sell. Did anyone see the Rastafarian astride his rod-braked Raleigh? He looked at me somewhat askew as I had my favorite pipe band (WickedTinkers.com) cranked up and was downing coffee and Kahlua in the morning chill. No one showed any interest in my 71 or 84 Record derailleurs, or my late 50's 531 British touring rack, or my GB 531 Track stem. I had two people ask me if I had any titanium parts. What's that? I said. I picked up an excellent $20 TA Cyclotourist for my 70 HR Morris. Andy Gilmour said he'd paint my 40 Bates. There was a very nice Ron Cooper for about 6 bills, and an all chrome Swiss Condor for 4 bills(neither of which sold by the way). I met this fella who showed me his Hetchins and Singer. Turned out to be Ken Wallace. I hereby beseech Ken to write in and tell us about his gem of a late 50's/early 60's Dick Power's track bike, all original, that he picked up.
