A list of names and URL's, possibly CR timeline bikes included prior to the link. I know Dale's got enough on his plate, but I would love to be able to check out the great bike porn members have been creating of their own bikes. >>

Here are my thoughts about all that...

I would happily make a page of links in the CR to individually made web sites containing members bikes. I agree that would be fun and educational!

Re: Hosting your pics on the CR... I just had a meeting with my friend & computer guru (David Hwang, ex-CDO employee and now successful entrepreneur) and he suggested think about where I am going with the CR. Coincidentally, a few days ago, I topped out/maxed on my web hosting disc space for the CR, i.e., content exceeds limits of hosting contract. Plus band width, i.e., visits is way up, double previous months for Oct & Nov. My limit is 10 GB and we are at nearly 30! So... I had to pay for additional traffic.

I already spend many many hours every day either updating, trouble shooting, doing small but time consuming admin things, or answering e-mail. So I have some decisions to make & some objective analysis to make.....

So I have to decide exactly what I want to do from here on out. Make the site bigger and offer new services (bulletin boards, photo hosting, e-commerce, etc?) I asked David about having an open-access photo hosting addition and he said I would have to obtain new software and change from my web editing MS Frontpage program to some other web editing means.

It would be a big and unappetizing change for me to learn a new program, as I am just starting to really learn Frontpage! The expense is not the biggest part, it is management and oversight time. For that matter, I do not have to be the one to set up a site for photo hosting, any one of the CR members could do it. Many have much more computer knowledge than I do..

Anyway, I think I have enough on my plate now... I am enjoying myself but if it gets to be more I cannot justify the involvement.
