trying to mount the levers on nitto moustache bars; the left side tightens fine, but the right side (which is missing the locking washer) refuses to tighten up like the left side. i am wondering if the lock washer serves to prevent the nut from bottoming out on the bolt. i know the levers probably are not designed for these bars, but there's no good reason why the left side works fine and the right side is always loose... so care to donate your washer? ;0)

For a very long time the Record brake lever didn't come with this serrated lock washer and we got along just fine without it (in my opinion, and only my opinion of course).
