Subject: [CR]shipping rates from Europe

In response to Jerry's request about shipping rates, it should be pointed out that rates vary tremendously from country to country. A good indication can generally be found on the websites of the post offices in each countries. Italy is very expensive, the other Latin countries like France are middling, the Northern ones generally cheapest.

Italian rates are about 100 euros for 10 kg, 150 euros for 20 kg and 200 euros for 30 kg France: http://tinyurl.com/w4q3 Germany: http://www.dhl.de/dhl?lang=de_DE&xmlFile=950 Netherlands: http://tinyurl.com/w4ox Switzerland: http://tinyurl.com/w4pa

It is often problematic to find boxes in Europe for shipping bikes, so you should always count on paying for a professional box.

Courrier companies generally charge between 10-25% over the postal rates.
