Alpine cycles/Washington DC sticker on the head tube, "C-I-D" or C.I.D on the downtube, 531 decal on seattube, no shifter or brake housing brazeons, one set of bottle bosses, rack brazeons on the seat stays.

Stir any memories? Way too small for me, as if I need another bike.

__________________________________ C-I-D was the sister marque to Alpine Cycles- brand names at Georgetown Cycle Sport, 3310 M St., N.W., Washington, D. C. 20007. I worked there for years and although the original intention was to affix the name to such imports as MKM, Hurlow, Iles, Condor, Roberts, Limongi, and a variety of other interesting imports and some Domestics like Tanguy and eisentraut, many a decal fount its way to other machines less worthy of the names.

In the later anf inal years, Alpine was taken by Fred Kelly and a few others in their frame shops in Rockville to produce some first-rate framesets.
