PayPal Since we have discussed PayPal , on occasion , and since this is just plain interesting , I thought I'd forward it along .
Most interesting to me is NOT the advice it gives to the buyer using PayPal .
The advice to the buyer is interesting . But I think the advice to the SELLER is much MORE interesting .
Note that there is a guarantee available to the buyer , if the buyer goes an extra step .
Then note the advice from PayPal , to the seller , on how NOT to have PayPal take the purchase price right back again , from the seller , if the buyer files a claim .
I think this is very interesting .
If the seller deals fairly , and can prove it , then the seller has nothing to worry about . But , if the seller does not deal fairly , then PayPal will invoke a "chargeback" . This means if the seller commits fraud , PayPal will pull the money right out of their pocket !
Both the buyer , and the seller , need to "keep their receipts" !

c.. When you shop on eBay.com, look for the PayPal Buyer Protection icon- Your purchase can be covered up to $500 at no extra cost with PayPal. You'll see the icon in the Seller Information box of an eBay View Item page for qualified listings.

PayPal Seller Protection
Attention sellers: When a transaction is eligible for Seller Protection, you will not be held liable for chargebacks due to fraud (including payments made with stolen credit cards and false claims of non-shipment) when you follow these guidelines:
a.. Have a Verified Business or Premier account
b.. Ship to the address on the Transaction Details page
c.. Ship within 7 days of receipt of payment
d.. Retain proof-of-shipment that can be tracked online
e.. Ship tangible goods
f.. Only accept complete payments from single PayPal accounts
g.. Do not surcharge the buyer
h.. Respond to all PayPal inquiries in a timely manner
To see if a transaction is eligible, log in to your PayPal account and go to your Account Overview. Look in your account activity for the transaction, then click the Details link to view the Transaction Details page.
