Maybe other CR members will correct me, but photo-etching is generally used for large quantities of etchings where the initial setup costs are somewhat steep, but spread out when a large quantity of the etchings are produced.
As an example. to produce a 8 x 10 sheet of small detailed etchings runs about $300 for 10 sheets. The printer of these etchings charges a minimum of $300 for their time and effort.
I wonder if pantographing is obsolete because more modern methods of computer controlled etching are currently used...
Of couse, what I discuss are current production methods and lower priced duplicates may be available with older equipment that may be more time consuming. Are ya gonna make a series of head badges?
