Subject: [CR]Best ever? Now most collectable bicycles!

Hey all,

All this talk about best ever and the recent prices of the Herse on E-bay got me wondering what would be the most collectable bicycles of all time? Maybe not even the best in some instances...

Of course, this may vary due to sentimentality and what not. But, from a pure collectibility standpoint I would think certain bikes would stand out.

So, how about a top ten list that we could all use as a rough guide? First, I would think a definition of what makes them collectable should be included in all responses.

Limited production, historical value, workmanship, and dare I say 'mojo'... If the builder is still building or not as well. Stuff that will hod the test of time, increase in value, etc...

Based on what is going on with R.Herse could we say that it is more collectable than say a Confente? Of course, Mike Kone has both:)
