Mahslomcha brother Larry!

Hope all is well with you, it always seems to be.

I am looking for a particular pump head and know you will steer me in the right direction.

I've seen it once at Trexlertown used by Gibby Hatton. The brass chuck looked like your ususal Silca head except it had a wire loop that flipped down and compressed the rubber inside the head. Neat device and surely a good thing when pumping to high pressures for roller racing!!!!

XXXOOO, Josh. I've seen one too. Another trick is a band of stronger hook-and-loop (aka velcro) that does a better job in the cinch. In casde you ever wondered the Silca track pump was designed as a one-hander. The other was supposed to go on the head.

The downside was their head- the rubber washer eroded every time it was removed under pressure. Adding saliva before using helps the removal and the seal but my bast trick was to take a presta valve and tap or bolt it into the side of the presta track chuck to make a pressure-reliever.

You simply bleed the built up pressure before removal from the pumped item and it releases the conical washer from round the pumped valve. Try it
