****(this message was sent from the future, the year 2023....where bicycles are 2kg of recycled thermo molded plastic with electronic variable transmissions)

Best historical components:

"Campagnolo Record" with 9 or 10 rear cogs this group is circa what is believed to haved been designed to celebrate the millennium....

Details: Ergonomic handlebar shifting levers with "replaceable" hoods "aluminum" crankarms with interchangeable chainrings! differential design caliper brakes, with serviceable cables and pads all titanium "cassette", with cogs the individual rider could choose! 28 hole low flange hubset with spokes that could be purchased separately?! front derailleur with a strange round mechanism of 28.6mm diameter attached Two bearing cups, apparently designed to be pressed into a 1" opening An axle mechanism with two threaded cups of the same diameter and pitch. 27.2mm diameter post made from a space age black fiber....

The confusing part about determining the exact date of these parts is that they apparently still fit on handmade frames of the Italian provinces from the mid to late century....
