Subject: [CR]The Very Best Hand-Fillet-Brazed Schwinn , In The Whole World ?

It is a 26-inch Schwinn Sports Tourer , with a frame entirely fillet-brazed by hand , in the Paramount shop , from seamless chromium molybdenum tubing .

It has a T.A. crankset , with extra features ( I know what that extra inner ring is , and how it works , but not the correct term for it ) .

Frame was brazed in 1973 , bicycle was shipped from the factory in 1974 , as a 1974 bicycle .

To say that it has had a gentle life , would be an understatement .

This one NEEDS to be someone's display item .

Never experienced a rain drop .

Too bad the tires are newer , but they do have Schwinn printed on them !

The rear reflector is missing .

Everything else is fresh out of the time machine .

It's just so perfect . And what a great story from the person who special ordered it 30 years ago this month !! !! !!

If it were a 24-inch , I would not be mentioning it !

And , this poor hand-fillet-brazed orphan still needs a good home ( is that a 22-inch , or a 24-inch frame ? ) :
