After what I thought was the worst-looking and worst-designed Herse was on e-bay a few months back (the rear mixte, fillet-brazed), now this one comes along. It is an Herse, I believe (front eccentric clamping certainly looks right, and they are different from all others I have seen), but what about the rear triangle and those horizontal dropouts? Sidepull brakes on an Herse tandem? Fillet-brazed again, too. And of course, cottered cranks were found only on the most budget of Herse.

It is my size, but not a tandem I'd want. -- Jan Heine, Seattle Editor/Publisher Vintage Bicycle Quarterly http://www.mindspring.com/~heine/bikesite/bikesite/
