And as for why the difference in price between an early 70s Paramount and an early 70s Cinelli?
Simple.
A Cinelli is a Cinelli. A Paramount is not. And that--as irrational as it may be--is that.
Other than that, though, they do ride rather differently, imho. The Cinelli is preferable, to my taste, but, of course, that observation is worth exactly what you paid for it.
