Hi Dan,

As some pointed out, the "french" cloth tape seems stiff and difficult to wrap, as it has very little stretch. I have found it nearly impossible to wrap with some of this tape without getting creases or wrinkles.

I recently bought 8 new rolls of black Tressoplast from QBP, and found a great degree of difference from roll to roll. I threw about half of it in the garbage, after not being able to wrap the curves without creases. Anyone else having the same experience?

The Japanese viva tape is much nicer, IMHO.

Then again, there's Harris Cycles: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/french.html#handlebartape
