>Has any one ever seen or used this stuff?<

No but I've seen Fujita tape on several Japanese touring bikes and have been trying to find it for some time. The stitch-on leather is OK, but I really like the look of spiral-wrapped bars and would love to get some leather wrap like Fujita.

Nick, does this tape have tapered edges like modern cork tape or is it just a sliced strip of leather?

I had a similar product, CycleGrip on an old bike for nearly 20 years and it looked better when I sold the bike than it did new. Only problem was, it was not a single strip... each roll was about four pieces butted together. I have a feeling it was originally shorter strips made for golf club handles that somebody had the bright idea of adapting to bicycle handlebars.

If anybody knows where to get Fujita, let me know, I'd love to buy some (or CycleGrip for that matter, if anyone has any squirreled away).
