Have to agree with you Raoul on this one. I recently re-browsed Kai-san's website and had a fun time looking at everything from the goggles to the various bikes. The News page is also pretty interesting if nothing else than for the "Photo of the week".
To me that 3rd photo down on the Cheeseboard bike page ought to be a "Photo of the week" - it's even seasonal. How many bikes do you see with pumpkins on the front rack ? (would love to know where it was taken).

On Friday , 7 November 2003 , I had a wonderful telephone conversation with ,
Kai Matsuda
who is the owner and operator of ,
momvelo

And this was all because Tom Sanders sent me this address for some of the most lovely bicycle-related color photos I've ever seen :

( Thanks Tom ! )
If you have not visited the web site , you should . I'd visited the web site perhaps a year and a half ago . But things have REALLY changed on that web site ! As a matter of fact , it's different again today ( Sunday morning ) ! Here is an example :

And , my point is , Kai is a terrific person . He is a native of the U.S.A. , with deep connections in Nippon . He makes trips over there several times each year . He also has a close relative living in Europe . So ! He can find some really neat items !
Kai mentioned that he is trying very earnestly to carry items which are NOT carried by the good folks at other businesses such as American Cyclery , Jitensha Studio , Rivendell , etc .
If you browse the web site , you'll find amazing bicycle parts and paraphernalia , along with some unique clothing , books on artistic design , and some of the nicest pens and sketchpads you've ever seen !
O.K. , obviously the Berkeley - San Francisco area is just entirely TOO nice ! In alphabetical order :
American Cyclery
Jitensha Studio
momovelo
Rivendell
who did I forget to mention ?
