Wouldn't it be nice if Bianchi "Celeste" actually were just one single color ??????

As we all know , the color chosen by Bianchi to be "Celeste" changed , sometimes quite a bit , over the years and the decades .

And , by the way , I have a 1958 Alfa Romeo with original Alfa Romeo "celeste" paint . Also , I've seen another such car in person , and two or three others in photographs .

All of the automobiles were ALMOST the same color . The Alfa Romeo color "celeste" was a very very pale blue , with no green in it at all . It was a very very pale pale "sky blue" . Which , of course , is what the name refers to anyway !

I still think that the amount of green in Bianchi's "Celeste" makes it look like the kind of "tornado green" sky which makes people run for cover !!

And maybe that was why Bianchi used so much green in their sky-blue ?? Because it reminds others of the awesome uncontrollable power of the cyclone winds ??

Finally , last Spring , the robins were quite prolific . There were three or four nesting pairs of robins near my house . I picked up and saved the discarded pieces of egg shell . They make a lovely little still-life display , in a pretty little ashtray ( have to use ashtrays for something ! ) . Every egg was obviously a different color . And I was surprised at how much green there was in the color of those eggs !! So much for "robin's egg blue" !!
