Speaking of Campy rims,

I just picked up a bike that have a set of 36 hole Campagnolo Victory Strada sew-up rims laced to a set of Suntour Superbe hubs. I have never messed with sew-ups before and am wondering whether I should take the leap or not spoil my innocence and keep riding clinchers. I have browse the archives and it seems that sew-ups are seriously liked or disliked and the each side holds their ground with a fair amount of zeal. I was thinking of putting them on Fugly, my fixed wheel bike.

The front rim got pretzeled when I was hit by a car in the early 90s (no real harm to me, ruined the front rim and left crank arm). The rear I still have. It has at least a few thousand miles on it, and has survived 2 broken DS spokes and 1 complete relacing. The anodizing shows some wear, but not much really. Mine are/were 32 hole and I have weighed from about 175-225 while I have owned them, so they are pretty sturdy and probably not particularly light...
