[CR]Campy crank vintage with "11" contained in a square?

Listers, I have 2 models of Campy SR cranks, one fluted and one non-fluted, but both have an "11" in a square on the back of the arms. What year is the 11 in a square? Also, does that mean they made 2 different models in the same year, I guess? Lastly, I notice that the non-fluted one has additional beefing-up in the notorius Stress-Riser crack area than the fluted style. It looks a lot like some GPM cranks of the early 80s. Who copied who?
