Somewhere between authoritative and a better guess: There are no Campagnolo cups specifically made for their triple (the axles are id'd by "X3") so the "T" in the triangle would not be for the word "Triple".
The thin wall cups without the rifled axle aperture are called Record. The Nuovo Record are id'd by the rifling found in the opening for the axle ("This feature pumps contaminating materials away from the bearings and extends the unit's life between servicing").
Incidentally, the "SL" and "Z" found on some axles is a production code according to Campagnolo and has no significance in identification.
