Well, I found out yesterday that Uncle Sam considers my continued services at Fort Monmouth NJ indespensable for another six months. So while that's bad news for my wife, it's good news for me regarding the Cirque, because now I'll be on the east coast long enough to attend again.
I've got my hotel reservation made and my Cirque entry mailed: now I'm wondering if anyone would like to carpool down from the Central Jersey area?
I'm at exit 105 on the GSP, or I'll join the Turnpike at Exit 7a, if anyone up north wants to drive down and rendezvous at the rest area. The vehicle is a 5 passenger Dodge Caravan, with a 3 bike trunk rack and space for 2-3 bikes inside with rear seat passengers, or 4-5 bikes if we throw out the rear seat and have only two occupants. A Thule roof rack for more bikes is possible if I can figure out if Thule makes a fit kit for a three door no factory roof rack Dodge. I'm planning on bringing two bikes, but can limit myself to one if the passengers need the spaces. If you want to take a load of bikes or parts for the swap, you need to be the first respondee!
I'm planning on leaving at 0900 on Thursday the 29th to arrive at CDO around 1800 that evening. That way we're fresh for the Friday festivities. Returning either Sunday afternoon right after the swap or early Monday, depending on the wishes of the passengers. The first rider gets veto authority.
