If its what I can recall the seattube was replaced with two (aprox 10mm) tubes set about 2cm apart, just enough room for the tire to pass between. I raced with a friend who had one only to find the one major flaw, the front deraileur wasn't a braze on, which would make sense, but a custom made mini clamp on type.

It was a really nice, light and fast bike. I wish I had one. I hope that might help.

We have a few of these Puch Everests in the stash, and they are like the Rigi. At the time the close-coupled frame was said to climb better. Duh? I am wondering why my Rigi is a track bike then? Our strangest Everest has a hollowed-out bb shell and a 'grooved' head tube with a plastic sleeve to keeb it clean. It's routed like many bb's of the time, and appears as a 'see thru' If the plastic sleeve were removed, the steerer would be visible in action.
