Hello CR peoples:

I understand that someone on the CR list was upset that I did not send out an item that I had offered. We have a policy at American Cyclery of only sending out items that are paid for. When we get credit cards declined its usually an indication that someone should either not be purchasing an item, or that some kind of fraud is taking place. Mostly the folks on the CR list are great. In the last few years however I have had bikes stolen and found them for sale on Ebay a week later. I have also had my Confente (#11) stolen form under my nose and I have had people hand me fake ID's and stolen credit cards. Having your stuff ripped off is no fun especially internet fraud. Sure, I should have got some more info from the guy but I appreciate how informal the CR list is. I love being able to offer great stuff to all of you and do appreciate the patronage.

Thanks to all of you who spoke up in my behalf. I have been called a flake before but not a scammer!
