<snip> I picked up a teledyne titan frame and have some odd very light bits. I want to see how light this bike can get without breaking the bank. Does anyone have a worn out old aluminum 5 speed spin on, set of Kronos brake levers or some other odd very light stuff. I dont' mind damaged worn out etc...looking low cost I am just doing this for fun. ----------- Sam, I dunno about that high-zoot Kronos stuff, but does it beat the 75 gm (each) Mafac lever on my table? Including barrel-type adjuster and stop? These Mafacs use a lever much like the customary one, but a hard plastic body (and adjuster assembly). Won't take the rots-at-first light Mafac rubber half-covers, but pretty handsome in their own funky way (yeah, like a sears bike with a stock campy record derailleur).

This is a variant we used on my wife's "Orphan" from the mid-70s, for which I obsessively bought lightweight parts as long as they cost less than $5/ounce saved - ounces haven't changed, but $ have shrunk since then.
