Lou,

The answer is yes, they can be applied and clearcoated with current paints.

When Rene Moser was general manager of Masi WorldWide in the early '80's, he had water slide decals printed by a company in Los Angeles that does zillions (technical term) of decals for the model car industry. Can't remember the name of that company at the moment.

The adhesive is not as strong as either varnish or the adhesives used on other bike decals I've used.

The inks ARE more sensitive to the solvents in the clear, so thin coats, with dry time between coats is necessary.

Some of the pinstriping decals were quite elaborate. Has anyone ever tried these decals on a bike? Do they adhere to paint and handle clearcoat over them okay? Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
