Subject: [CR]FS: Harry Quinn Frameset......

Evening Cr'ers,

If you are unfamiliar with Harry Quinn, please refer to THE CUSTOM BICYCLE, by Kolin and de la Rosa. If you don't have a copy, here is a very brief overview (and a quote from The Custom Bicycle): Harry Quinn Cycles began in 1901, and until 1945, were called 'Coronets.' In 1945 the model name was changed to Harry Quinn - HQ built only 'custom frames' and built every frame himself until 1973. Frank Clements purchased Harry Quinn Cycles in 1977 (February).

Harry Quinn frames were numbered consecutively (4206 as of September 1977) and HQ Cycles built one frame per day.

The HQ frame I am offering is numbered Q3284, and was therefore most likely built by Harry himself (using Kolin & de la Rosa's reckoning). It measures 57cm (c-t) with a 55cm top tube and a wheelbase of 39 1/4". Full Reynolds 531 with Campagnolo long dropouts. One set of water bottle braze-ons; front derailleur stops and rear derailleur guides (with chainstay stop); Clamp-on shifters and brake cables; Nice original condition with a very few scratches and nicks and a very small dent on the right hand side of the top tube (since it uses cable clips - this could be easily covered). No eyelets (front or rear).

I won't have pictures for a day or so, but will be taking some.

$400 (shipping included - within the U.S.).

Cheers,

Chuck Brooks Malta (second snowstorm of the season and it's not "officially" Winter!!) NY
