Hi all, I bought my Mavic Mach 2 CD in 1990-91 and the open 4 CD were available then as well. Modolo Speedy are a very good brake, the only models that were/are better are Professional, International, Master Pro and Kronos.
Early Speedy brakes were a rounded front section on the caliper arms and later ones went to a more 3 sided section as per Campagnolo super record brakes did, I have never seen late model super record brakes in the flesh, but looking at some pics the script written caliper arms do look more 3 sided than rounded (no doubt if I am wrong I will be corrected by the Campagnolo police).
Without checking I am sure even the late model speedy levers are undrilled, I do have a late model speedy brakeset in the garage. The speedy levers were the highest brakeset to have the cheap cable attaching pin......regards wayne davidson Invers NZ.........
