Hello there. I have just rejoined the list. I am 55 years old and live in the United Kingdom. Started cycling at the age of 9 and have never stopped. Come from a Cycling mad family. I have raced on the track and the road as a time triallist but my real love is cycle touring. Still cycle between five and seven thousand miles a year, no where near my youthful mileages of 18000 per annum. Over the years have owned or ridden most marques. Favourite British makes Harry Quinn, Paris. Armstrong, Claud Butler, Langsett and anthing that Tom Board built. Least favourite English machine Mercian have owned three of these and never liked any of them. Who ever said third time lucky! Favourite equipment Zeus & Suntour Superb and those bullet proof Shimano 500&600 rear mechs. Vices own too many bikes, trikes. tandems & tandem trikes. You can only ride one but the collecting bug is hard to kick. Interested in anything cycling especially 6 day racing. Would be nice to hear more about the American & Canadian track rider's. How about a little piece on Louis Cohen, James Corcoran orJules Audy. We know next to nothing of these famous stars in Britain.

Best wishes and be lucky. Michael Butler Huntingdon UK.
