To me, one of the neatest things about Italian design has been its extremes. From Masi down to the lowliest Chiorda, as inspired and well-made as the average Huffy. In components just from Campy, from the pure elegance of the Record HF hubs and (name your own) down to at least three of the world's dumbest derailleurs (1-wheel Sport, sheet-metal valentino, Gran Turismo boat anchor). Not to mention the great PMP Crank put-on.

I have some of this stuff, and could build a modest display if there are others who have off-the-wall stuff that belongs. I don't want the responsibility of a 50th anniversary gruppo. I would love it if someone brought a full tool set in the wooden box, because that is really, really, elegant, and not many folks have seen one (I don't have one).

Probably a better use of my table at the swap meet than puttting out more of the stuff no one wants to buy. :-)
