Italia huh? Let me see, how about the Baylissimo, made by that great Italian, Piccolo Pista Baylissimo from San Marco di le Mesa. We call him PeePee for short. Ply him with the right vintage Tuscan red vino and he literally gushes about his time working with a bunch of guys from the old country who made bikes like Michelangelo cut marble--all masterpieces. On Mario, on Roberto, on Gianni, and Faliero too (oh, wrong event, sorry--I guess it was the red nose that confused me). But, when it comes to using old tools (a file) and old materials (Reynolds 531 that he bought by the truckload in 1979), not many framebuilders today who can hold PeePee's torch.
