There is a big difference between an old friend that has evolved through the years and a faithfully restored show classic. It's like the difference between a Hot Rodder who is never finished improving his car and a classic buff. My "classic era" bikes are old friends. Do you think I should remove the brake hoods from an old Paramount (they are a "classic era" add-on.)?
Humm... If I remove the hoods, then I could re-install the brake "safety" levers -- no, I don't think so -- that's getting too close to insanity.
