I found this at my lbs, and without instructions. The bike shop owner has no experience with this product. Is this a temporary attachment tape for emergencies, or like the Tufo brand, used for permanent tubular attachment? Like the Tufo one, do you moisten the tire tape to allow for positioning when mounting? Anybody have any experience with this stuff?

Thanks in advance.

Dennis Young Hotaka, Japan As a tubulariste since c. 1970, I've seldom used that Jantex product except when a customer had requested it. There was another product ntruduced in the late 1980's whose name escapes me (maybe tubtex?) it was from GB. The TUFO, however, changed things, ane their newest competition, which was introduced to me this fall, takes it a step beyond.

It's M.O.is to install it on the rim and leaving the slippery release tape on the tire side. After stretching the tire over the taped rim, the release tape is removed from between the tire and tape from the side and viola, the perfectly installed and centered tire is there for as much keeps as you'd want or need.(the slippery release tape allows uniform stretching)

Best thing, nobody but you and your supplier know what's under there.
