Subject: [CR]New Holdsworth, and the first of likley many questions

Thanks to Larry, I now have a lovely blue NOS Holdsworth Special frame in my basement. I want to build it up for day rides on tubulars, trying to keep it light and simple.

Long term I plan to poke around and search for more-or-less original components. However, as part of the purchase negotiations (with my wife, not Larry) I promised to get it on the road at minimal cost by using as many of the parts laying around the house as possible.

So my first question is on crank choices. I've got a Sugino Mighty Competition (144 BCD) and a Stronglight 93 (122), both in similar used condition with the same crank arm length.

I love the looks of the 93, so all things equal that would be my first choice. However, my knees aren't getting any younger, and while the 93 will go down to a 38 tooth chainring, the Sugino could take a Willow triplizer and get below 30.

Is either crank inherently better than the other for any reason? Am I missing something big here? Any other question I should be asking myself?

I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts about my options. Thanks
