Some saddles are board hard when new, and take a LONG time to get to the
point where they have a small amount of flex that allows it to move with your body
while pedaling. With one of THESE board-like saddles, 10 to 30 seconds of
light tapping with a hammer (when done right) can greatly speed in the break in
time.
