Anyone know the range of the Mavic "erector set" RD? I think this was introduced in 1979 and is therefore on topic here. Just installed one on my mid-80's Mercier Bordeaux-Paris, and even with a 52-42 chainwheel, it doesn't seem to like anything more than 24T or so on the FW.
This bike also came with Shimano Exage hubs with a strange FW. The bosses for the puller have a very large diameter, just a hair less than the ID of the small cog. Was there an Exage FW? If so, anyone know where to get a puller? Classic content here is if I can get this damn thing off and replace it with a proper classic FW, these will make a decent pair of user wheels.
