Subject: [CR]Late 1976 Campagnolo "shifter" braze-ons for Masi GC.

This has been bugging me for a while and I want to know the correct answer.

Re: Late 76 early 77 Masi GC (California)

When exactly did Masi USA start putting top tube cable guide braze-ons and downtube shifter braze-ons? Were they done at the same time, or did the shifter braze-ons start first?

I have a repainted (no decals) masi above that had non-original top tube cable-braze-ons added (too small for the 5.5mm Cable housing) which is why I think they were added. I'm not sure of the downtube shifter braze-ons.

I'm ready to have the bike painted and I am not sure if the shifter braze-ons were standard back then. If not, I will ask to have them removed when the bike is repainted.

Thanks,
Scott Sweeney
