" The RRA is a real thoroughbred and rides like a dream. It has a wonderful racing pedigree. Ray Booty first man to break four hours in a 100TT. Charlie Holland did some fantastic rides on a RRA. He went on to be the first Englishman too ride the Tour de France."

Charlie Holland also was honoured with his own special RRA model introduced in 1939, the Charles Holland Continental no. 48 with a different fork and handlebars from the stock RRA and S-A AM gear in Lustre Blue. This had a handlebar bend one hears very little of nowadays: Pellissier and was the first Raleigh to have that foreign practice of taping handlebar ends!
